Named after their Grandmother ("Oma" in German), the brothers von Trapp (yep, related to the von Trapps) have created this cheese to honor the family dairying tradition. Crafted using organic Jersey cow milk from the family farm, and then aged in collaboration with the venerable Cellars at Jasper Hill, Oma is a cheese of the highest quality.
Its thin, washed rind opens to reveal a supple paste of almost pudding-like consistency, with rich flavors of sweet cream and roasted nuts.
Try pairing with a Belgian ale or with sweet fig jam.
